Farrah Fawcett is an American actor, artist, and model who is best famous for her portrayal of 'The Apostle'. She was nominated six times for the Golden Globe Award and four times for the Emmy Award. Farrah Leni Fawcett began her acting career in commercials on television. She has also been in television shows like I Dream of Jeannie and The Flying Nun. Her first film part, which was a minor role of her role in the French motion picture Love is a Funny Thing. The film gained her international fame due to her iconic red swimsuit poster. It was the most popular pin up poster in history. The following years she was featured on numerous other TV series and movies which helped to establish her place in the world of sex as a famous figure. It was highly appreciated that she was private detective in the Crime Drama Series "Charlie's Angles". The series portrayed the lives of three women who worked in a private detective agency in Los Angeles. In addition to playing glamorous parts, she's also well-known for her dramatic performances including the part of a battered husband on the TV film "The Burning Bed'. She was listed at 26 on TV Guide's list of "50 most famous TV celebrities of all time'. When she was 59, she was diagnosed with anal carcinoma. She died within three years.
